HELLO FRIENDS!

You have reached my online photographic portfolio, and I am honored for you to stop by!  

My love for photography began at a very young age when my oldest sister took a photography class in high school - and, of course, all I wanted to do was everything that she did! When I was a bit older,  I spent my hard-earned savings on a Canon SLR (film all the way, baby!), and took it on trips to Peru, Germany, London and Angola with me! I have since upgraded my camera as well as the knowledge behind the lens, but somehow those first rolls of film expose my heart better than I could even explain with words. 

I have dabbled in different corners of the photographic world - and there are SO many more corners that I would like to explore! There is nothing more addictive than viewing well-crafted images! I love and appreciate all niches of photography, but the past few years I have given my heart & skill to capturing the first 24-48 hours of human life as an in-hospital Newborn Photographer. One of my favorite quotes is from writer & theologian, St. Augustine: 

Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering.

I will never give up my love for traveling the world & seeing all that it contains, but my Lord has opened my eyes more & more to the vast wonder that He built right into the "day-in/day-out" world around me, beginning with the miracle of human life. 

As it is with every person, there is so much more to me, but this is where I'll start :) Hopefully you will feel like you know me more with each new post you see.
